We are the members of Partick Congregational Church and we meet and worship in the Church building at 37 Stewartville Street. We are relatively small in numbers as Churches go, but this means that we are more of a family and as such we tend not to ‘stand on ceremony.’

We’re a local group of people, most of whom have, at one time or another, been born or raised in Partick. However, the migration of people from the area to the city suburbs has meant that many of us travel to maintain the fellowship which we have grown to cherish. We’re proud of our roots in the area which go back to 1891.

Besides being local, we are Congregational. This means that the church is run by the membership and although it is in full connection with the Congregational Federation.

it is independent in its mode of government and controls its own affairs without interference from any other Church or Court. Congregationalism is an inclusive, democratic fellowship in which it is easy to find a valued place.

Finally, we are a Church and as such we acknowledge the mind and spirit of Jesus Christ to be the sole standard of faith and duty. We believe that the bond of fellowship is moral and spiritual, not ritualistic and dogmatic.

Our Church is the red sandstone building at the corner of Stewartville Street and Lawrie Street, about 100 metres from Dumbarton Road. Please do come and see us.

We may be able to offer you spiritual nourishment and an undemanding but enriching friendship.
